I think The Last Problem feels like a seasons 1 - 2 episode in the best way possible. I love this episode so much. There's so many tiny details in the background and they never slow down the episode to dump information onto the viewer. The song is also really good and they do a lot of things that they tend not to do with other songs like that in the show. I think the episode is well-paced, I don't think there's a part of the episode that goes by too fast or too slow.
Also!! Applejack and Rainbow Dash got fucking married!! Canonically!! So did Lyra and Bon Bon!! That's fucking amazing and adorable. They are in love, your honour. It's really interesting to see where so many characters ended up in life 30 years later. Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst have a daughter (Luster Dawn) according to Luster Dawn's creator. Like??? A ship I don't like, though, is CheesiePie, so I don't really appreciate it being canon.
Also unpopular opinion but I really like Twilight's epilogue design a lot. I think it's really pretty and suits her. It's also just fun to see how much she's changed since we last saw her.
Seeing Twilight's coronation and how the main six are handling such a major change to help comfort bronies and viewers without speaking down to us or telling us to just deal with it, was also really nice. I think the humour in this episode is also good.
Thoughts?
