Meet Bonya

I couldn’t very well create Bonya’s house and not create Bonya to live there, now could I? My grandmother was an incredibly loving, but also very strict woman. Not only was she a master knitter, and baker, she was also extremely adept at managing a gaggle of little kids. “Put It Up!” was her go to phrase, and I heard that phrase often as I was always up to some mischief. Bonya did not like having toy guns in her house (something we boys loved), and if she caught you with one you’d hear “put it up” and then spend the rest of your day weeding the gardens till supper. Needless to say I did a lot of weeding.
