MY QUESTIONS
Do you have any guilty pleasure books? Well, yes of course. I haven't read them (yet), only skimmed, but I really enjoyed what I skimmed of the Obsidian/Lux books. Alienated by Melissa Landers hasn't come out yet but I'm certain I will enjoy it and it will be very much a guilty pleasure read.
Has a book ever you made you cry? Oh certainly but I really don't cry very often from reading. I sobbed and sobbed when I read The Book Thief for the first time. I cried really hard when I finished The Time Traveler's Wife. I think Monsters of Men managed to eke out a few tears from me.
Book before movie or movie before book? Book before movie always. I read a fair number of books for the first time because I wanted to go see the movie: HP&tSS, Atonement, Never Let Me Go, The Golden Compass, The Great Gatsby even.
Has a movie ever ruined the book for you? Nah
What is a book from your childhood that you will possibly re-read in the future? I like to re-read from childhood favs fairly often, actually. Usually Anne of Green Gables, Ella Enchanted, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. A series I haven't read since I was a kid but I've been feeling drawn to lately is Animorphs. I'd love to revisit those soon.
What's your favorite YA Novel? Well, that's difficult. I'll go with my favorite YA read this year which was The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey.
Books scattered or books organized on your shelf? I actually can go either way on this depending on my mood, motivation, and laziness level at any given time. Sometimes it's very organized. Sometimes it's a hot mess and I'm fine with that.
Who's your most recent book boyfriend? That would be Prince Titus from The Burning Sky. He's super adorable.
Do you ever mark up your books? Rarely and only in pencil. I'll bracket quotes that I like or scrawl one or two word thoughts. Never, ever, ever, everrrrr dog ear pages. That's a real peeve of mine.
Which dystopian world would you live in? Er, none hopefully. If I had to pick one I'd go with Penryn and the End of Days just so I could go and steal Raffe. Sorry not sorry, Penryn!
Aaaand I'm not going to tag anyone because I'm a grump. I'm sorry! I perpetually feel like I'm bothering people if I send them these things. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Thanks for tagging me, though. This was fun!
