Who said your best friend can’t be from the internet/online?
Rachel, aka, bookingmyselfaonewayflight , met on Twitter four years ago, with her giving random #FF every Friday and me replying her the next day. And that was where our friendship bloomed.
Rachel lives in New Zealand whereas I live in Singapore and despite the four hour time difference, we still managed to keep in touch and talk every week. Many people doubted my friendship with her, telling me that she could always be some 50-year-old dude, but my instincts kept telling me that she wasn’t and I believed that.
On the 26th of January, she flew to Singapore with her family and we finally met! It was such a long wait for me seeing as to how she told me a month and a half before she flew here. On the day itself, I was so nervous yet excited. I went to school, not paying attention at all.
I am so thankful for her existence, so thankful for her being there for me, so thankful to have her fangirl and basically so thankful for she had never fail to make me smile.
I can’t wait to visit you in NZ in the future! x
