YESENIA tapped her fingers on a school desk as she listened to the rain drum down outside. she liked staying alone after the school day was over just to relax and study. it was calming to her, so she did it.
she read the same textbook page over and over, not really “reading” but skimming - she was being absentminded, and not really getting any information on what she was doing. she was more daydreaming.
it got to the point where she didn’t even remember what textbook she was reading, causing her to giggle softly. she daydreamed of just going on a simple summer picnic with her cam and kitta, the loves of her life. she sighed wistfully, the drumming of the rain soothing her. it was a peaceful time, and she liked that. no people, no drama, no responsibilities or worries. just herself.
then the beautiful music started to play.
it was simple harp music but it was elegant and beautiful and it amazed yen. she looked around, pulled from her daydream and into reality.
“ hm...? i thought i was alone...? ”
she mumbled wistfully, the harp music making her even happier. it was lovely. she stood up, shutting the textbook - oh, yeah, it was an old english textbook - and made her way to the source of the music, a look of curiosity across her delicate face.
she opened the door to the music room, staring in awe at faye blanc. the faye blanc! she stands in silence, her eyes wide until faye finishes the song.
“ oh my gosh -- you’re her! um, you’re faye blanc! i love your music, i.. i can’t believe i just saw you perform right before my eyes! ”
yen is just silent. her body aches after her ‘ talk ‘ with cam, a heavy feeling in her chest she can’t ignore.
‘ hey, cam, you up for movie night tonight ? i have to cram for a test day of our usual movie night. ‘
I crave for more Julia Quinn`s
Specifically The BRIDGERTONS.
I practically devoured the whole book! At our Health class today i keep on secretly reading the book "An Offer from a Gentleman" the 3rd installment of the Bridgerton Series.:) It surely brings out the hopeless romantic in me. The Bridgerton family are just purely dazzling. yes. DAZZLING. :D So it`s a must read to all booklovers/hopelessromantic out there! :D
HAHAHA heto na naman ako. BOOKWORM MODE.
