What's your favorite thing you've read lately? And your favorite overall?
A friend recently gifted me The Left Hand of Darkness, by Ursula K. Le Guin, for Christmas, and I fell in love. I hadn’t read or had much interest in sci fi, but this has changed that. It has a wonderful commentary on so many aspects of society and humanity: gender, sexuality, class structures and hierarchies, politics, what it means to be a traitor/where loyalty to ones country comes from. I highly highly recommend it.
As for overall favorite book…I rave a lot about the Child 44 series. It’s historical fiction, and is a murder, mystery, historical, crime thriller all in one :)
