#QOTD Has it ever happened that you started reading a book and then a few pages in you realize you've already read it? 📚 📚 I've been wanting to get back to audiobooks for sometime now. So yesterday I was going through the different options on Libby. Shari Lapena is one author whose books I've wanted to read. I know that I've read one book of hers and loved it. But I just couldn't remember the name. Libby had around 4 or 5 books of Lapena and I ended up choosing A Stranger in the House. Around 30 mins into listening to the book, I started having doubts about whether I've already read this one. But somehow my memory failed me. Then I had to go back to my list of books that I read every year. And voila! My list says I've read this in November 2019!!! I still don't remember 95% of it. Just have some vague ideas. And so I've decided to go ahead with the book. In one way I'm irritated that I don't remember a book I read just 2 years back. But at the same time I'm also happy that I can enjoy it all over again. And do my damnedest to do better next time" - A couple of years ago I bought this title at Comicon. After the purchase I couldn’t wait to go home and start reading it. But home was different then. I was dealing with demons and bullies of a special kind and getting out of bed each day was a strain by itself. I lost my love for reading, comics and simply the will to live. Every time I saw this cover it was a pain that only I understood and nobody could relate to. I never got to read this, i couldn’t bring myself to. I survived. Two years ago, these demons were in my head. Today the demons and bullies are very real and constantly around me. Happy birthday #HarryPotter and the Sorcerer's Stone! I'm bummed I don't have all my Harry Potter things yet (stuff should all be arriving next week! -fingers crossed-), so this'll have to do... I remember when I first read Harry Potter and I hated it. I know, shocking. I'm pretty sure it was that "I hate everything anyone else likes" phases. And then I picked it up about three years later (when I was 11, no less) and I fell in love with it. Devoured the first three books like they were water and I was dying of thirst. And well, that's that. I'm the Gryffindor everyone thinks is a Ravenclaw, but secretly has a love for Hufflepuff, who hangs out with all the Slytherins...
