Summer is beginning to wind down, and I begin to prepare for my first year of university in a few days. In honor of that, I’ve decided to do a readathon! I’ll be doing BookRoasts O.W.L. challenge during the month of August instead of the N.E.W.T.s that everyone else will be sitting.
You can find information on the O.W.L.s +here and the N.E.W.T.s +here. If you’re interested, you can follow my journey on my +blog, +twitter, or +goodreads.
I will be taking only five classes because of University, and anything else I want to take I’ll do it when the readathon comes back around in the spring!
Ancient Runes: A book with a symbol on the cover ↳ The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco
I bought this earlier in the summer along with… evey other book on this list actually. I’d heard good things about it, and the cover is Stunning. What can I say? I’m attracted to pretty things!
Charms: Read a fantasy book ↳ A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
This book has been on my list For Ever and after meeting Victoria at SDCC and having my book signed, I figured? It’s probably time to actually read it. I have heard only good things about it and I started the first five chapters in June, so I’m ready to finish it.
Divination: Read a book featuring prophecies ↳ The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
I chose to do a reread of The Raven Boys instead of a new book because I realized a while back that I never actually finished the series. I want to know what happens to the characters for myself, so it’s time to start back at the beginning.
Potions: Read a book about/with alchemy ↳ Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
This is probably cheating, but I’ve already started this one and tried to find some way to incorporate it. It’s such a wonderful book, and I’m very exited to finish it! I need to get through it so I have a chance to read the sequel’s ARC that I got with it.
Herbology: Read a book with a nature related word in the title ↳ Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust
I bought this on a whim during my b&n spree, and I was entranced by the idea. I was told its exceptional and that I’d made a very excellent purchase indeed, so I’m quite eager to get started.
shoutout to @ravkanreads for her combination tbr + readathon post bc i was going to do 2 separate ones but then i felt like a fool bc I can’t read that many books in a month
