My main new years resolution was to be less scared. And less self-hating about my art. I feel like, of course, most people don’t 100% love their art 100% of the time; but more often than not I hate my own. I like to stay in graphic design, because it’s a comfort zone and easier for me to fall back on. When I look at this piece and how much I hate almost everything about it, I can’t help but compare it to all the other amazing people who participated in this #dtiys for @lunarjokester . But even though i’m VERY insecure about my art, I can’t help but want to share it with you all anyways. Here’s my first post for the new year! And I just wanted to say thank you all for all the support, love, and community feels i’ve gotten the last year. The continued support means so much to me. Thank you to everyone so much. Needless to say my page is gonna be changing a lot soon, because I’m going to be showing a LOT more of my personal digital and traditional art. I feel like in order for me to grow as an artist and as a person I have to show more of who I am and take more risks and just be so much less afraid of how others will judge me and STOP comparing myself to more successful people. Time to stop doing that, and just do me. The next three posts will be some “draw this in your style” things i have been working on.
