Tips for being in a bookstore
Don’t walk around being loud and obnoxious-people are reading
Don’t proclaim loudly that you don’t read a certain genre while in that section with a friend who has expressed an interest in it. It’s a fucking dick move and every bookseller who heard you hates you.
Don’t leave books in the wrong place, in front of other books, or on TOP of other books. Leave them at customer service-please
Don’t obnoxiously tell your whole friend group that all manga is free online and buying the books is stupid.
Don’t be obnoxious about the face that you don’t read at all-no one cares and you’re making your friend feel bad
Don’t stare at people while they work. They’re just working.
Don’t walk around on your phone looking for a book and repeatedly refuse help to find said book and say that “the other store was set up differently and you could always find everything”-our stores are all formatted the same now. You are incorrect pls just let us find your book so you can leave
Don’t stand at customer service and when someone asks you if you need any help talk about how much money you’ve spent here and how you can’t believe how rude people are and how’s that’s stopping you from spending even more money. If you’re gonna be a bitch-we don’t care.
If you’re in a fairly large group, please don’t be offended when workers ask you to move so they can shelve the books. They wanna get out of your way as fast as possible trust me.
Don’t attempt to get into the store before the store is open-hours are clearly posted outside on the door and it’s fucking terrifying to hear someone yanking on the doors while you’re trying to have a meeting
