hii hello!! If you don't mind answering my mail: What happened in the bookworm brightney AU? Did her appearance change?

oh boy, lots and lots and lots.

To begin, technically the AU belongs to a friend. The AU is called This House Still Dreams, and the basic premise is it takes a theoretical property of ichor and uses it to "explain" all the in-game features in a way that's a bit more horror-oriented. Twisteds have different "mechanics", ichor is purely magical and high concentrations cause instability in reality (hence the repeating floors and endless elevator), and revival isn't revival at all.

Each time a toon dies, Dandy remakes them- usually with their memories- and tells him he brought them back. But... he didn't. They're just a clone. Think of it like a Mickey 17 situation.

Each time a toon is remade, Dandy needs some sort of reference material. This is why certain toons come back as certain "skins"- it's alternate outfits used in the show, promotional material, etc that dandy uses when he runs out of "normal" reference sheets.

Bookworm Brightney was designed by me long before Squirm released so that was funny. Lol. In-universe, the explanation for her "skin" is that it was used in a series of proptional shorts designed to get kids interested in different subjects- in Brightney's case, biology. It wasn't something Gardenview invested in because it wasn't very popular or successful. This was in part to it being very school focused and thus not as popular as the more fun shorts, and because they exclusively used side characters in an attempt to make them more popular, which backfired by drawing less attention.

Within the AU itself, Brightney is not a main character per se. It's actually a collaborative roleplay between several friends, in which i play several characters: Rodger (in his Valentines skin), Brightney (Bookworm skin), RnD (Storybook skin), Fall (a twisted Shelly), Beacon (a twisted Rodger), and Lighthouse (a... brightney. It's hard to explain lol).

My most active characters are Bookworm and Fall (and somewhat Lighthouse) though, with the others only getting dusted off as needed.

As far as the actual *story* and *plot*... I'd be here all day if I explained that, and I don't want to bore anyone... lol
