THIS IS BIG!!! Thank you @boomkack for providing some encouraging words ! ••••••••••••••••••••••••• I’m big on transparency & speaking from your heart. People need hear this! As an artist, you are constantly criticized & questioned by your choices. If you are strong, you’ll keep forging forward but this life is hard! The life of an artist is even harder! We’re sensitive, we’re passionate, we lead with our emotions & in the end we just want to do what we were called to do! ••••••••••••••••••••••••• I remember struggling with my gifts so much as a young adult, especially once I graduated college. I had soo many people tell me no & I was crazy. I went a straight year crying almost every day during graduate school cuz I literally heard God tell me it was time to move but I was too scared! I prayed about it for a couple month & finally had the courage to walk away from my high paying job w/ a 401k & great benefits. I moved back to Houston, got a job as a radio personality at KCOH & worked at my local news station Fox26 while finishing up my last year of grad school. I was finally at peace. To this day, I’ve never looked back! ••••••••••••••••••••••••• Prior to taking my leap of faith, my life was in such turmoil b/c I wasn’t honoring my gift. I didn’t trust that God would help me make a way out of no way. I was young & inexperienced but most of all I let the opinions of others keep me in a state of confusion so I constantly doubted myself. (Mind u I was barely 22... it’s a confusing enough age lol). ••••••••••••••••••••••••• If you are struggling with your gift.... DON’T!!! Pray about it. If that’s not your thing, meditate or write out your thoughts. Figure out what makes you happy & then do more of that. Then after, figure out how you can flip that into dividends ($$$).
