2- 3 X Normal Wages = Specialists (Doctors/Engineers/etc)

3 - 4 X Normal Wages = High-risk roles (fire suppression, unstable zones, magical cleanup)

Food, Water & Temporary Housing Provided throughout this period. If injured, full pay + Medic Care.

Boom:hey nox *hold up an ominous looking gem* A vampire attacked me and dropped this when I took him down do you or obscura know what it is. Im 50 percent sure its cursed.

Obscura: Hoooo boy is that thing cursed! Just don't be surprised if you get an appetite for some unusual foods lol. Because it seems the vampire was attempting to curse themselves to not need to drink blood anymore with that thing. Which from the attack, clearly didn't work and they ended up starving themselves in the attempt.

Wouldn't be the first time one attempted to fight a vampiric curse with another curse, Blood knows I've tried many times in the past.

Even without his veiled and darkened thoughts, Boom often struggled to recognise sincerity from the others around him, and he slowly fell behind the others with only Courage sticking to his side; but no matter how hard the Monster within him tried to take over him, the mere sight of the little Pup, as well as the faint sound of his concerned crying, was powerful enough to resist all of its power.

Unfortunately, as Boom was dragging his hooves at the end of the group, the others were starting to get upset, with two of the Dragonesses even going so far as to discuss taking to the skies carrying their flightless companions in their arms; for they knew far too well how beneficial it would be to leave this hostile land behind, and they were willing to do anything to speed up their long travel.

Before either Inferno or Ember could turn to Nox to ask her for her opinion, however, they realised she had stopped walking, and was patiently waiting for Boom and Courage to catch up to her; but she merely shook her head to the two Dragonesses when they turned around, and she instead asked them to follow their hooved allies, while she stuck by Boom's side to look after on him for a little while.

To her immense relief, as well as her mild annoyance at their carelessness for someone so troubled, the two simply shrugged before they quickly caught up to the other three again, just as Courage and Boom slowly wandered past Nox; but although Courage had nodded to Nox before they set off to assure her his Master was all right, his eyes spoke volumes, and she slowly let out a deep yet quiet sigh.

For a while, Nox walked alongside Boom, but did not utter a word, as she knew not whether there was anything she could tell him that could ease his torment, even if only for long enough to avenge the ones he loved and lost so many Ages ago; but she feared that even this was unlikely to change much, as there was little they could do to change the past, no matter what they so dearly wanted to undo.

However, despite the nigh utter silence between the two, only broken by Courage's quiet whining and the sound of their paws and hooves on ground, Nox noticed that Boom's pace was steadily increasing, he was standing more upright, and his empty gaze slowly grew warmer again; and when Courage started to wag his tail and tap his paws, for the briefest of moments, a small smile grew upon Boom's face.

The genuine kindness she saw in his eyes as Boom turned to look at Courage and softly scratched the Pup on his little head was one that she knew was tough to falsify, even with a strange and powerful force hiding within him; and as the trio quickened their pace to catch up to the rest of the group, Boom politely reached out a hoof to Courage, before he picked up the little Pup to give him a lift.

Whether it was coincidence, the fact that she was the only one of the entire group to wait for him, or her innate ability to help others around her feel at ease by her mere presence, Nox was relieved to see that Boom appeared to be doing better; but she kept an eye on him, for she knew that she and Boom were alike in many ways, and would often pressure himself just to keep up a facade for others.

After he gently placed Courage on his back and quietly told him to hold on, Boom quickly glanced at Nox before his quickened pace changed into a gallop, with which Nox, luckily, still managed to keep up, but not for long; for after a few minutes of running to follow the group after they disappeared over the crest of a hill in the distance, Boom took a deep breath, and charged forward in a sprint.

Shocked at his sudden burst of energy, Nox struggled to keep up by paw, so she spread her wings and took to the skies to chase after him, while flying just a few hooves above the ground so Boom could see she was not at an unfair advantage; but when they passed the crest of the hill, to their shock, the rest of the group was hiding right on the other side, and quietly snapped at them to drop down.

In response, Boom and Nox just stared at them, when Shining pointed to the distance, and whispered:

"Right there…"

(Close to four months without writing any part of the story, but I'm very glad that I've still got the spark. I don't know for certain how often I'll be able to write updates, especially with my job taking up most of the days of my week.)

(That being said, I got the brilliant news that my detachment will change into official employment at the start of the new year, so I'll get a better overview of the path ahead from hereon out.)

(Story episodes might change to weekly posts if my 32 hour work week stays the same, as opposed to the 40 hours I followed for the first couple of months, but since I had gotten used to that rhythm, I hope the hours change again.)

(Thanks ever so much for all your support on my simple doodles over the last couple of months, and for your continued interest in the blog. If you have any requests for more doodles or short stories of any characters, please do let me know. The ask box is always open. ^^)

(Also, as I'm writing this addendum, I'm planning to rewrite the story, starting with the earliest episodes I made, but changing up my writing style, while keeping the story, settings, and (most of) the characters the same. It would be shorter, quicker, and with much better formatting than all the massive blocks of text I have gotten used to, but still the same story as the one I had been making daily for over two years straight. Be sure to keep an eye out for updates on this!)

Well, I do already travel to other worlds via the spirit realm, and the two I love to visit most are the ones two of my partners reside in.

Though admittedly I'm not the most thrilled with the state of Chroma's world but seeing hir and Cinna make them my most sought-after worlds to visit~

I know it's a sappy answer but that is how I am. Which is something I know Cousin Cadence loves to tease me about. (She only does because she knows Nox secretly enjoys it even if she is too proud to admit it)
