Boomshake.

Sya: (Kadarating) Ano na namang title neto? (sabay bigay sa headset nya)

Ako: (Aalisin yung headset sa isang tenga) Um, Clarity.

Sya: John Mayer to di ba?

Ako: (Tatango. Ibabalik ulit yung headset sa tenga sabay tuloy sa pagkain ng cereals sa boomshake)

Sya: (Mangangalabit) Penge naman.

Ako: (Iaabot yung boomshake. Nakikinig lang sa headset)

Sya: I miss you.

Ako: (Nakikinig lang sa headset. Walang imik kahit narinig)

Sya: (Mangangalabit) Shan, I miss you.

Ako: (Dead air pa rin) Oh?

Sya: Sasabihin mo na namang di ubra, di convincing ang arte ko. Miss lang naman kita e.

Ako: Okay. Amina nga yang boomshake ko.

Sya: Mahal mo pa ba ako?

Ako: No comment.

Sya: Shan, mahal mo pa ba ako?

Ako: No comment.

Sya: Di nga shan, yung totoo, mahal mo pa ba ako?

Ako: Hindi na. Okay? Kaya nga sabe ko no comment e. (But actually the mind is answering the other way around)

Sya: Nakalimutan mo na ba? Sabay pa tayong kumain lagi.

Ako: (Magbibiro) O tara na, kain na tayo ngayon.

Sya: Bumibili pa tayo ng pansit canton tapos ako yung nagluluto tapos kinakain natin habang nanonood ng movie.

Ako: O e tara nga, bili na tayo. Ipagluto mo na rin ako… Amina nga yang boomshake ko.

Sya: Nakalimutan mo n, shan?

Ako: Hindi pa. Okay? Hindi ko pa nakalimutan. Okay na? Amina yang boomshake ko.

Sya: O e baki——t?

Ako: Mali e, di ba? Mali.

Sya: (Natahimik)

Ako: (Natahimik)

Sya: (Iniabot na yung boomshake.)

Ako: (Tahimik na papatugtugin ang Clarity sa phone. Itutuloy ang pagkain sa boomshake)

That was another jerk-thingy he did. Nothing new, which makes me wonder which is true and which is not, honestly. He used to put me to the edge but that scene went the other way around. And we both didn't see that coming. Uttered words of mine were opposing what i really feel but it was the right decision to make. And so for the rest of the day, I just played and sang Clarity which was closely relevant to what had just happened. I still pray for the best of myself and of him, of course. This is just one of the nostalgic days I'm having for months, and i know in God's time, I will fully recover. :)

PS: A boomshake is a kind of beverage with either cereals, cookies or sprinkles mixed in any flavor with milk and crashed ice.
