On darker days, Mirabel thinks this is true but on others, she hopes that nothing is beyond repair.
Instead of Alma and Mirabel reconciling after Casita falls down, a rift forms between them and the family as Mirabel runs away. A year later, Mirabel hears of a plot to plunder her hometown and rushes back home. Tragedy strikes and the Madrigals soon come to understand what Alma and the other elders were running away from.
On Mirabel’s darkest day, she finally receives a miracle and ends up in her 15 year old body at the day of Antonio’s gift ceremony. Armed with knowledge of the future and a new understanding of her family, Mirabel fights off a dark future. But the future is a tricky thing as Bruno can attest to. Will Mirabel save her familia and comunidad or are they destined to come crashing down?
