Thanks to a ‘flash sale’, we had a very cheap day out in York in late January.  The 12.15 train arrived on time for a relatively comfortable and smooth journey.  After Leeds we ate a snack lunch while gazing at the picturesque scenery and big sky of the Vale of York.
