Converting these 2 treasured bootleg tapes that I purchased in London during the summer of 1983. June 17, 1983 was the first time I saw U2 live (Los Angeles Sports Arena) and The Alarm was the opening act. Coincidentally the next day (June 18, 1983) I was on a plane with my parents and best friend headed to London for a 1 month stay. We had the great fortune of the use of a flat in Chelsea for a month which was just a few blocks off of Kings Road and near The Thames River. Just a fantastic time to be there (turned 17 during the trip). I roamed the city a lot on my own making the most of great public transportation and frequenting all the great music shops, punk stores, flea markets and museums.
