Person of interest should be saved because is one of the best tv show ever. it starts as a basic procedural with a classic ex-CIA white guy who’s picked up by a very private computer genius to play the vigilante. it slowly adds more characters, every single one of them with personal motivation and dynamic, building a bigger scheme through time with flashbacks and revelations until it turns into this dramatic and complex conflict between two artificial intelligences with awesome neuroatypical characters leading the way. there’s no space for actual romance but personal drama is hinted at through small details thanks to the cast great acting and a masterful writing. it’s sci-fi, drama, action, humor, moral questions, character developments, cliffhangers, villains becoming your favorite characters and so many feelings it’s impossible not to be swallowed by them. the show projects you into a whole universe, it deals with some society’s problems with a quite catastrophic vision of the foreseeable future that never gets too heavy thanks to its humor and lightness. to quote Amy Acker herself “That’s what they’re so good about, like, you’ll put down a red pen in episode 2 and then episode 20 they’re like, ‘remember that red pen? That’s actually the key to the Universe’”. not to mention its contribution to LGBT representation, the main couple on the show being made of two women, where their relationship is constructed organically as part of the main plot. if it looks too classic at the beginning, give it time till the first season finale, and you’ll see. also, the cast and the writers are so excited about it, at least as much as we are, and the fandom is so talented and full of amazing open-minded people ready either to over analyze every detail and to drool incoherently over their fave babies (not to mention the fanfictions, fanart,.. so good I can’t believe they’re real). there are so many things I haven’t said but if you wanna know more, watch the show and you’ll understand why I’m not able to explain how awesome it is. that said, I can’t explain why it’s at risk. despite the strange schedule it’s getting, its ratings are still good and it’s really absurd it could be cancelled without a good reason (I can’t honestly think of one). so please, please save it. with all the stupid show we watch on tv, Person of Interest is special and deserves more. thank you for hearing me out, I’m sorry my English is not very good, but I’m from Italy and I wanted to write to you anyway since PoI is worth it.
