Borders books was one of the best places on earth and here are some reasons why. For starters it was HUGE and you could spend an entire day at this store. There were rows and rows of books of all kinds and labeled so well. It was easy to find everything. they also had a huge magazine section. A person could find tons of cozy chairs and sit and read a book or magazine all day. Not to mention the fact that they had a cafe so you could grab coffee and treats and sandwiches. They also had a music secition so you could buy the latest CD’s. Life was so much better in the 90′s. I truly miss this place for MANY reasons.
Sort of a side note to my Nordic folk video posts. I miss Borders Books, compared to the soul sucking brick n mortar of Barnes and Noble, or Amazon. I miss an international section, independent book and magazine publishers. What I should say is I miss being able to stumble onto things, like I did with the Northside label and their "Ice Price" comps, or an Industrial Nation Magazine.

Something i really loved about the 90′s was going to Borders Book store. Not only were they a book store but they sold music and movies and had a really awesome Cafe. You could practically spend a whole day in their store and be perfectly comfy. Good times.
