Her notebook had been officially filled to the brim, even the margins of the notebook was crammed with stories. It was as valuable as all of the past notebooks: the information inside sensitive, not entirely parsed through. If the government found out she had this information... well, Miss Elizabeth’s warnings were always vivid in her mind- regardless of their legitimacy.
Perhaps the information was ultimately benign, the freedom of the press taking precedent over the government’s emotions. Regardless, the notebook was going to stay close to her.
Of course, weather and fate had other plans- a gust pushing the small body over the cobbled road, the notebook flying from her hand as she stumbled- struggling to stay upright- if she fell, Pocky would get hurt too! So she abandoned the notebook in favor of the dog, managing to stay on her feet in the end. However, her notebook had fallen, pages open, right by the feet of someone else.
She rushed forward, grabbing the notebook as quick as she could- closing it and pulling it close. Even one glimpse at the words could spark curiosity, “I won’t tell you anything,” she said firmly, “You’ll have to read it!” When she was far away and out of the picture and out of harm’s way. Who knew what this character’s alliances were?
