The 'Grotte di Borgio Verezzi', known as the 'Borgio Verezzi Caves' are a karst cave system located at the seaside resort of Borgio Verezzi. These colourful show caves were discovered in 1933 and contain some prehistoric bone remains dated between 500,000 and 750,000 years ago. The touristic route of the caves has been open to the public since 1970 and counts some little lakes that will leave you in awe. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: Borgio Verezzi is easy to get to by train from Genova and Savona. It's also one train stop away from the family-friendly resort of Finale Ligure. The show caves are about a 15-minute walk from the train station. ______________________________________ #Grotte #BorgioVerezzi #TurismoInLiguria #Italia #Italy #Liguria #NatGeoItalia #NationalGeographic #HiddenGem #Ig_Savona_Imperia #TheLigurians #CanonPhotography #TravelPhotography #RGphoto #TravellersOfInstagram #TravelTheWorld #InstaTraveller #TravelSolo #TheGlobeWanderer #WanderLust #ILikeItaly #ItaliaInFoto #Scatti_Italiani #MeraviglieItaliane #Ig_Liguria #YallersLiguria #VolgoLiguria #VivoItalia #ItaliaNeography #Earth_Shotz (at Grotte di Borgio Verezzi) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRBkS4qF34j/?utm_medium=tumblr
