I never posted anything for best friend day whatever cause I forgot, but Katie is an amazing best friend. She's the person I text if I either think of something depressing, or if I did something super awkward.

So like, today is Katie's birthday, and I just want to take a few minutes to gush about one of my best friends.

Katie and I met a few years ago, here, on Tumblr. It was during the earthquake that hit Japan really hard; I was following the event pretty closely and saw that the earthquake resulted in some pretty nasty waves that were going to hit a few key cities (she was living in Seattle at the time, which was one of them.) I messaged her out of concern, and we essentially kept talking from there. 

Since then, Katie's become incredibly important to me, so important, that I put her up there with Lisa (if that puts things into perspective), and it just increases constantly. Even though I haven't met her (yet, it's a work in progress), she and I are constantly there for each other (mostly her for me, seeing as how she's had to endure a lot of my panicky/depressed nonsense) In all honesty, she's one of the few people I would feel absolutely lost without, and I'm glad I met her.

I'm totally not good with putting words together, and I'll probably come up with something way better that I should've put in here, but yeah.

Point is, Happy Birthday, Katie (already told you this morning, but still.) I love you, yo.
