if you are worried about cost of a kitten bc no health history i would get a 1 or 2 year old so you at least know! my sis hasnt cancelled her cat insurance bc lulu ended up (and continues to have) gastro and anxiety issues so its been a life saver. but she didnt know going in that she'd be a cost heavy cat! im excited for you to get a cat!!!!

i am allergic to cats and simba sheds like a MOFO but i take a 24hr pill and its fine. elevated wbc but otherwise no issues! insurance you can usually cancel after 1st year if the cat turns out to have no health issues, and a 1 br should be plenty of space! get a litter box that has an opening at the top so that litter doesnt get all over your bathroom floor and a litter genie to put the waste in and seal away the smell and voila.

(sorry you were probs NOT asking for advice but everyone should enter the kingdom of cats!)

I think you should have one! That all sounds manageable with your current situation, you would be a great cat mom!

I’m honestly considering it? I’m probably going to hold of on any decisions til like Sept due to travel and such etc etc etc.

that's most apartments :( re the pet deposit and rent for damages etc

oh I know but for this area, 50 is on the super super high side of things. T_T

I’ve been considering moving for a awhile so this gives me time to sock money away for a year and like prep etc
