#boring weekend

Went swimming. Big lap pool was completely empty, and the rec pool that I use only had like, three other people in it when I got there. So, that was nice. I didn't stay any longer than I would on a weekday, tho, cause the pool needs vacuuming BIG TIME and it was just not pleasant like normal. I assume they do that level of cleaning on Sundays when they're completely closed, so hopefully it'll be better on Monday. Chlorine level was fine, so I'm not worried about germs or anything, just that stuff IN the water is... Unpleasant.

Anyway, home now, and showered. Need to get some PJs on, since my only bra that fits is in the wash meaning OH NO I CAN'T GO ANYWHERE TODAY WHATEVER WILL I DO??? lol

I assume I'll play Lunar in between naps, but I'm not 100% on that. I THOUGHT I'd have a desk this weekend, meaning I'd have my PC out of storage and could play DAO properly, but nope. I get that getting a desk from my SIL for free is better than paying for one, but it means waiting until she has time to actually break down and redo the room it's currently in. And, well, she and her husband both work full time and they have a 4 year old. They don't have much in the way of extra time, even tho redoing that one room is for the purpose of giving Nephew a bigger space. (Right now it's spare bed/game room; from what I understand they're just swapping that stuff into his current room?)

Still, tho, it means my original plans for the weekend are shot, unless I set up the PS3 and play console DAO instead of the game modded for prettiness. I need to remember how to use the face swapper tho; it's been so long since I've played idr exactly how to do it. I know I wrote a guide for the tool for others, so hopefully that's still on my old blog. I know the page isn't live, I moved everything on that site back to drafts; as long as I still have the account, tho, I should be able to get the instructions.

So that really happened

Today I found out I have mumps, yes MUMPS. My doctor even said she has not seen a case like mine in 20 years. I understand that mumps is still a problem in developing countries, but I live in Australia and I did follow my immunisation schedule as a child, or well my parents did. So I’m currently sitting in my room with a face like a balloon resting up for a couple days to ensure I’m not contagious. On the plus side, it’s motivating me to study so the days go quicker.
