Heyy, what's ur opinion on Sirius's sexuality? Not asking for shipping purposes lol, just curious to know ur thoughts

Can’t believe I got an ask! My blog isn’t even active these days!

I don’t have a lot of thoughts on Sirius’s sexuality. There’s nothing in the books that indicates he liked women. He could’ve been asexual or not. We don’t have any information at all. His relationship with James is the only one that can even be interpreted in a romantic light - because of how close they were. Does that mean he liked men? No. His sexuality is completely undefined.

I personally don’t do headcanons, but I like the idea of him and James being in love, and of Sirius being asexual because that’s so rare in a character. But his sexuality is anyone’s guess. We’ll never know it because I ignore everything that comes out of J.K’s mouth.

Idk if you're doing anything tsh-related anymore, but if you are, why do you think the part with that old racist guy claiming to know what happened to bunny was there? I mean it just seems kind of random to me but maybe there was some significance behind it, idk

Not much, I feel like I’ve turned the book inside out and most importantly, I haven’t read it in years. And case in point, I don’t remember the old racist guy. Was there a racist guy? I just cackled thinking about the murder clique judging this guy mightily for being racist. Teapots calling the kettle black, huh. 

Cheek aside, yes, I’m sure there must have been significance there. Either easy social critique from the narrator (Richard sure likes to be self-righteous, for an aiding-and-abetting dude), or another stepping stone to the classist self-indulgent commentary the characters usually go for—highlighting the rift and “hierarchy” between the common folk, and their own higher, conceptual, out-of-modern-society motivations. 

It’s a bit of a shot in the dark but it would suit the recurrent patterns in the book!
