Would your muse ever have a one night stand?
he has had billions (maybe not quite that many) but he has had more one night stands in his life than he has had actual relationships.

they’re celestial . gravitating bodies that find each other even in dark moments , they will pass through and continue on as though nothing had ever happened . they are infinite , life runs through their veins and it will carry on for ages to come , even if it does not take place in their own bodies . they are pure , soliloquies of their own accord , sweet and melodic . together they are an anthem , courageous and thunderous , no one can stifle them now . they are two parts to one working machine , they are one in a million , they are made for each other . fate brought them together for mysterious reasons , neither of which would care , as long as they remained that way for the remainder of their days .
at least , that’s what the stories say .
he’s firm , his hands strong and sturdy against her smaller frame . her heart aches , a sad song - one of departure , one of loss . she’s leaving him behind . we’re sorry for your loss , he was a great man . we’re going home , back to grandma . isn’t that great ? not anymore . thin fingers curl , wrapping around fabric as she attempts to anchor herself there , to pretend that nothing was going to change . just for a moment , if not a decade or a lifetime . hues sting , watery and wide . she fights the urge to look away from him , now to close her eyes and pretend he was no longer in front of her , that this whole thing had been nothing more than a dream , that he was imaginary . that it wouldn’t hurt to leave someone who was never there .
they stand there in silence for what feels like ages , millenniums pass like grains of sand cascading down the sides of an hourglass . zoe benson has no words for what is happening between them , and it feels as though he doesn’t either . lips part momentarily , opening and closing like a suffocating fish , gasping for air on the side of a creek . even if she did have the words to speak , nothing she could say would be enough . even in this place, he was unchanged by years of weathering , he was still his own person . even he felt different than the surroundings of this warm los angeles suburb , he was purely kyle spencer , there was nothing that could change that .
❛ i love you. ❜ it’s the first thing from her mouth , she struggles to make sense of it, even if they were her mutterings . zoe benson loves kyle spencer . the air grows thick , silence once again hanging over them like a thick shroud . she does love him . it takes almost the rest of her energy to push up onto her toes , eyes fluttering shut as tiers find warmth in another pair . they are one . it isn’t until they break apart that she realizes that she’s crying , ruined by what could’ve been once , but not now . fingers tighten their grip on his shirt sleeves , her throat screams with a certain pain that was only characterized by utter destruction of the mind . she’s pulled inwards by firm arms , holding her close, and a quiet sob escapes her . she clings as desperately to him as she does the idea that everything will some day be okay , but that fled quickly through the cracks of her fingers .
she doesn’t say goodbye , she cannot. they have one more night , she departs in the morning . yet she can’t say anything else . no , not now . not yet . it’s not until later , when they’re submerged in darkness that she speaks once more , her voice nothing more than a whisper, her cheek pressed against his shoulder . ❛ –––i love you , kyle. ❜
It was never safe to go off alone, but Carl wasn't far. Somewhere within the forest, he'd heard a sound that left him wondering if it was a walker he'd heard or not. It seemed far too human to be a walker. They made the most awful, inhuman sounds that could hardly even be described as groans. It was for that reason that the brunet decided to investigate, his footsteps kept as quiet as possible as he navigated his way through the trees. There was the occasional crunching of leaves beneath his shoes, or the snapping of a twig under his weight, but otherwise he was fairly silent. Following the noises, Carl continued onwards, coming to a slow when the sound was loud enough to make it obvious where it was coming from. A shack, where a woman had just left with a bag. It was an old shack and had holes in it, but people couldn't be picky these days. Safety was safety. Four walls and a roof could be more than enough just to hide from the dangers that lurked. Fingers brushed against the holster at his thigh, drawn out steps taken as he drew closer to the shack. He drew his gun, finger on the trigger, and prepared to fire at whatever awaited in the shack--If it was a threat. In his other hand, he held the knife that he’d buried into a countless amount of skulls during his travels. If he could conserve bullets, he would. Plus, it was never wise to fire a gun in the forest. There were a lot of walkers that roamed about aimlessly, and it was far too easy to become surrounded with nowhere to go. Climbing a tree was the best bet, but sometimes that wasn't always an option. Placing his knife between his teeth for just a moment, Carl reached out a hand and placed it on the handle of the door to the shack. He turned it slowly, so very slowly and gave the tiniest pull to allow it to slowly creak open. His knife was back in his hand, fingers curled tightly around it, before he stepped inside and got ready to embed the metal into the soft, mushy skull of what could possibly be a walker. But what he saw wasn't a walker. Was it? Maybe one that had just been changed? There was a blond boy, sitting on the floor with chains to keep him in place. "Hey," Carl spoke up, shifting in place while the floorboards creaked beneath him. A small step back was taken, just to ensure he was out of range of the other's grasp. The chains looked pretty tight, but maybe there was a reason for that. If so, he didn't want to end up finding out the hard way. On the other hand, maybe he was just another victim. There were a lot of twisted people in the world, such as the people at Terminus who lured people in only to slaughter them like pigs. “If you try anything, I’ll shoot. Why are you in chains?” He asked, gun pointed at the blond while his knife was still grasped tightly in his other hand. “Is she keeping you here?” She referring to the woman who’d just left. His eyes scanned over the stranger, trying to find bite marks that would give away that he was a walker, but there was nothing.
Overdressed in her tee shirt, blue jeans and hoodie the girl walks into the Frat Party. Definitely not considered the M O S T attractive out of all the girls, but she didn’t care to be seen as such. No one truly cared about the runaway, not even her parents. Her friends act as if they do but with how fast they manage to ditch her in the frat house, she feels she has her proof about how people F E E L about her. Though it doesn’t stop her from ATTEMPTING to enjoy her night. Maybe if she makes a friend she’ll have a place to stay, or maybe she can pretend she’s passed out and crash here. There were a lot of options.
Hazel orbs linger over the packed house before her as music blasts and the average person is either on heavy drugs or got some form of alcoholic beverage in their hand. She gives in and grabs one of the cheap beers herself. Drinking it with a sigh as she looks for her friends among the crowd. Maybe at least SOMEONE would stop and talk to her-- right? Well a half an hour passed with no contact with anyone and she tires of the dumb P R E T E N T I O U S scene.Crossing over the dance floor her eyes lock on her friend Amanda, but Amanda doesn’t seem willing to stop.
Casey jogs over to her with attitude written all over her features as she stops her, “what the fuck Amanda? I thought we were here together.” The girl is prettier then Casey, and lately she acts as if that gives them rights over the other.
‘ No offense, Casey but you’re not allowed to crash at my place anymore--- why don’t you find someone ELSE to bother?!’
The girl walks off and leaves the grunge girl looking deeply confused and for lack of a better word, shocked. What did she do to deserve this? Sure she was relying on people a lot lately but she gave back--- as much as she could without relying on her selfish parents.
Annoyance covers the pain on the girl’s features as she moves to the other end of the room--- passing frat boys as she orders some HARDER liquor. She needs something to numb the ache, not that A N Y O N E really cared. They never did.
