Boruto - Chapter 17
I want answers!!!
two and a half minute
I’d like to headcanon that their “date” lasted for two and a half minutes because of an interrupting situation. Maybe there was a message from hawk-san, or maybe they were on a mission and they happen to have stopped by that lovely scenery, shared a few loving words and were interrupted by the hooligans they were pursuing.
There are plenty of reasons why the date didn’t last long but what reassures me is the fact that they had a date as such in the first place. It tells us that the early love between Sakura and Sasuke was indeed existent, tho kept discreet by the SP crew (because they are jerks).
I’m trying to stay so positive here.
I mean, on an unrelated note, Ted Mosby even had a killer date with Stella during her two minute break. 😂
Boruto is such a baby boy.
Boruto - Chapter 17
Boruto 16 see’s Kara members talking about their mission and what they call the Vessel and how it’ll come into use in their overall plan. All whilst Boruto and Naruto face off each other in an effort to see how they’ve grown, from Boruto’s training to Naruto’s use of a hand tech. This vessel appears shortly as Konohamaru finds the vessels container.
Boruto 16 seems to reveal quite a lot about the members of Kara and how these men specifically call themselves the Inners and everyone they use or command being the outer. Seems like members such as Kashin Koji isn’t afraid to kill their own members in order to get what they truly want, disregarding the overall vision and paying attention to his own.
The talk about the vessel is interesting, seems like this vessel might actually something interesting. I really get the feeling that all of this related a lot to the Akatsuki and how they used to communicate and get together. Feels pretty similar, brings a lot of memories back.
Moving on, we have Boruto and Naruto training, it seems like Boruto is going all on when he goes towards Naruto, everyone notices that Boruto has definitely improved. But Naruto just catches him out. It seems like he himself was using a technique which absorbed magic, he was testing out a magic similar to the guys who they previously defeated.
Moving on to Konohamaru, he finds a vessel with nothing inside, it seems like it’s right outside. Feels like they’ll face something huge now as this thing or person might be strong. Boruto 16 ends here, it seems like it’s only upwards from here as this vessels and the guys from Kara might keep coming back a few times. Can’t wait for the next Boruto 17!
Kara and Vessel! Boruto's Training - #Boruto 16 Boruto 16 see's Kara members talking about their mission and what they call the Vessel and how it'll come into use in their overall plan.
Boruto 17 focuses on Sarada’s adventure as she’s agreed to deliver a teddy bear to a little girl in the village, she faces trouble when there’s a mix up and while Boruto and others are trying to go fishing they encounter her. Boruto 18 see’s Boruto and Naruto’s relationship grow as it seems like Boruto doesn’t like Naruto leaving him and Himawari, all while we see the past of Naruto’s Hokage inauguration and when Himawari enabled her Byakugan.
So, with Boruto 17, we saw a somewhat filler episode of Sarada and the relationship she has with Sakura and how she seems to be the backbone of her family, which shows how independent she is. On top of which, Sakura’s first date with Sasuke trip with Ino seems like it was a nice touch the episode, felt like Sasuke truly hasn’t been there for a while.
Boruto 18 was a lot better if you ask me, it followed some manga work, especially when Himawari activated her Byakugan and how Naruto’s Hokage Inauguration went. Although Naruto didn’t make it to his own Hokage inauguration, it definitely seemed like it was building up to the ‘more’ canon work that is coming to Boruto series, especially as the Kage meeting comes closer and closer.
The nice thing about this episode was that Boruto is open to a relationship with Naruto, he’s not closed him off completely which is nice as Naruto may not fully understand what Boruto is going through, but he’s definitely trying, which is what counts if you ask me. On top of which, it was nice to see that Hinata went through 46 ramens, definitely a challenge worthy for Hinata.
Anyways, what did you think? Go ahead and comment down below telling us what you thought about these two episodes and be sure to also mention what you think’ll happen in next week’s Boruto 19, titled “Sarada Uchiha”, seems like we’ve started a new arc.
Sarada's Adventure! Naruto and Boruto - #Boruto 17 & 18 Boruto 17 focuses on Sarada's adventure as she's agreed to deliver a teddy bear to a little girl in the village, she faces trouble when there's a mix up and while Boruto and others are trying to go fishing they encounter her.
Boruto 16 see’s an episode dedicated to both Denki and Iwabe as they both try to pass the test. Denki wants to be able to pass the physical where he has to climb the wall, while Iwabe has to pass the paper based question and answer test. They figure out ways to help one another where they manage to pass the exam by showing this as they save kids from the burning building nearby.
Boruto 16 seems like a filler episode to me, it goes beyond anything that I’ve seen in the series and seems to try to improve the characters and personalities of these two. It seems like it does this well as we learn and get a happy ending from the two.
I don’t think we learnt a lot from the episode except for the fact that Mitsuki doesn’t feel any pain from a hot ass burger which I think he ate. Nevertheless, at this point, there isn’t a lot I can even say about it. But you might have an opinion or two.
Next week’s Boruto 17, titled “Run, Sarada” focuses on Sarada off course, and how she seems to have forgotten something and wants to get it again. It seems like these filler-like episodes are bringing back what I didn’t like about the Naruto series in the first place, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see for the meantime.
