So episode 41 of Boruto is out, and I found a bit underwhelming. Mainly, because I was expecting the arc to go a little longer, or maybe it's part of a larger arc that'll cover the new team 7's missions up to the Chunin exams? Either way, it did echo the mission arc from the original Naruto (remember Zabuza?), but did not have the same amount of character development on a part of the villains, who were essentially just nameless mediocre (they went down way too easily) bad guys. Regardless, and as I just mentioned, this looks like it's going to be part of a larger arc going into the Chunin Exams, which lets face it, have to happen eventually. Since the anime will likely reflect the manga with regards to this, I would expect the tone of the show to shift after the Chunin Exams are done and would hope to see more development on Boruto's dojutsu. It will be interesting to see how the series gets to the foreshadowed events from the very beginning. Honestly, I'm very glad they decided to develop the core cast before leaping into these cataclysmic events, but I wish they had more snippets of the future, to keep some of the focus on the inevitable destruction of Konohagakure.
