Analysis of Boruto chapter 34 (original translation)

First of all I wanna state that I cried like seven times during this chapter.

I REALLY like the cover, because Boruto and Kawaki are standing back to back but like brothers and comrades, not enemies!

Something not really important ( at least to me haha ) is that Delta self-destructed but then came back to life in Kara hideout and told Jigen about Boruto’s Karma.

Also Paparuto strikes again with saving all three of his kids from the blow caused by Delta

Following, Naruto AND Boruto took Kawaki to the hospital where he got artificial arm, one of Naruto’s, but in order for it to work it needs Naruto’s chakra, which was Naruto’s idea all along.

What I liked the most is Kawaki’s awesome character development! Aside from the beginning where he called Naruto an idiot for leaving Delta alive, but that was totally understandable I mean she has been traumatizing him for years. Anyway, he was so nice to everyone, hence maybe a bit too morbid joke with Boruto.

And he asked Naruto to train him and of course Naruto said yes. Boruto is excited about it too because he sees a great challenge in Kawaki and also helps in training!

AND KAWAKI MADE TWO FRIENDS! TWO FRIENDS! Care to guess who they are? Shikadai and Inojin! That’s what I’ve been hoping for!!!

Anyway the two of them plus Boruto went out with Kawaki to buy some sort of stickers. And in Kawaki’s first pack he got a super ultra rare one - Minato. Boruto was sad because he got yet another Naruto and Kawaki suggested a trade (WHICH MADE BORUTO CRY WITH JOY), which was SUPER ULTRA MEGA CUTE! Sarada, Chocho and Mitsuki were just standing aside and had no interaction with him, Chocho mentioned that he’s hot and Mitsuki says that ‘Boruto opened his heart to him’ while Sarada said that she wonders how did they get so comfortable with Kawaki.

Last few pages are few days later and Kawaki constantly does three things - trains with Naruto and Boruto, hangs out with Shikadai, Inojin and Boruto, and fixes Himawari’s vase. I so like how he’s determined to fix it!

( don’t know why Sarada is on one of those training since Kawaki clearly dislikes her (and she’s clearly stated that she would help him if/when she becomes Hokage)  but I’ll just assume she’s there because of Boruto)

And funny ending - Kawaki was missing one piece to finish the vase, he and Naruto were either in Kawaki’s room or a study or something like that because there’s only one bed for one person (and Naruto tried his best to stay awake so Kawaki can finish the vase) and he was about to go to living room to try to find it but guess who appeared, that’s right, Kashin Koji and kidnapped him.

JUST KIDDING!

Boruto Chapter 34 Thoughts

Finally the battle is over and surprise surprise !! Naruto is the winner.

This chapter by far one of the best chapters in the manga IMHO and there are many important points to mention:

1- From now on Boruto is going to be in far more danger than Kawaki.

Jigen now is sure that Boruto is his vessel that Momoshiki left to him so I think to Jigen he is more important vessel than Kawaki. I will not be surprised if he went after him himself.

That also explains why Koji said that Boruto has similar powers to Jigen.

That situation reminds me of when Akatsuki were after Naruto except that they will not be expecting this.

2- From the fight , it seems Kara is going to be tough and unpredictable enemy.

First: The self destructing body which makes them nearly impossible to capture.

Second: After all Naruto’s efforts to capture Delta and I said yeah finally getting rid of one that is going to be easy. It turns out to be one of her bodies and she literally transferred her conscious to another body and what is worse is that there is no guarantee that all her bodies have the same abilities, So if my guess is right ,fighting her again will be like fighting a new and totally different enemy.

3- Koji is becoming more and more mysterious. Not just his Identity but his motives and his relation with Kara is a mystery. Jigen is giving him freedom more than any other member to do what he wants even trusting him to take decisions regarding the mission which is opposed by the other kara members. 

and the fact that he is searching for Jigen’s weakness by observing Boruto

You can’t clearly see if he is really a part of Kara or a spy looking for a way to destroy them.

4- Why is Naruto so weak?? When he fought Momoshiki not long ago he was far more powerful.I know the children were near him , he wanted to capture Delta alive but still. He and Sasuke should be the strongest shinobi alive.why didn’t he use his clones?? 

Is he particularly weak against ninja tech? Or he noticed that someone was watching the fight so he didn’t use much power ?? maybe he is becoming weak I don’t know. to be honest the fight was disappointing in my opinion as Naruto and Boruto fan.

5- I don’t feel good about this 

Finally Kawaki is starting to trust Naruto and he considers him as a father

It seems for some reason Kurama is keeping watch over Kawaki, I don’t know if Naruto ordered him to do this when he is a sleep or he is doing this on his own. But I think that will make Kawaki think that Naruto is watching him or not trusting him even after he sacrificed his hand to save Hime.

It was really cute watching him exchanging his card with Boruto because he wants to know more about Naruto.

and also Naruto becoming his sensei

I hope that doesn’t affect his relationship with Naruto.

Finally I really want to know more about this guy 

That genius scientist , he seems really interesting.

read the new boruto chapter that came out this week ( chapter 34, i believe? ) and after reading this. now i’m just all like, “how the hell did kawaki become evil!kawaki when he found all these new friends and familial love and, possibly, a best friend/brother in boruto?” now i’m more even into the manga than i originally was. like, i need to see how kawaki becomes the kawaki we know in the future.

Ugh i need the next chapter!!! I need some Kurama and 3rd gen interactions!^^

P.S. I still don't like Delta. I mean, yeah, she's "strong" but i don't like her guts 😅 she's annoying lol

P.S.S. i'm getting more and more curious with the whole Kara organization. Did they come from outer space or something? And are Momoshiki and Jigen some kind of mortal enemies or something? Lol

Boruto Manga Review - Chapter 34 Training

KAWAKI MADE TWO FRIENDS OMG I’M SO PROUD OF MY BABY! And they actually seem to enjoy his company as well, look at them all smiling together opening sticker packs and playing games!

I found it a bit weird that only those two became his friends but then I found one parallel - Kawaki met both Ino and Shikamaru and I’m sure both of them told their kids about him, especially Ino cause she’s Kawaki’s auntie! Remember this great interaction?
