Spartan Super
So yesterday was my Spartan Super! It started off not so good, my anxiety and emotions were all over it was making me over sensitive I almost literally quit. But then SO opened my eyes and I realized what was wrong, I don't have enough faith in myself-I'm always giving up when I get scared!? So we started to conquer the race, getting through the obstacles, motivating our team & others. We hit the mile 5 mark and the obstacle was the 8ft wall. SO boosted me up and I was making my way over, before he could come grab me my hand slipped and I crashed to the ground landing on my left leg in an awful way. I could barely walk I was screaming and crying the workers wanted me to go to medical but I refused. I forced myself up and SO had me hold onto his shoulder while his friend walked beside me. "You don't have to do this please your health is so much more important" he kept saying. I shook my head no and said "I need this for myself. I need to conquer this for myself" and I did. His friend grabbed me a walking stick (I was being called Spartan Gandolf) and I walked the rest of the race with my SO, friend, and new friends by my side. I did all of the rest of the obstacles, except for one, gritting my teeth with pain. But I did it. I earned my medal! One more race to be conquered before my Trifecta!!!
