Newt wasn't so engrossed in his work that he didn't hear the footsteps approaching the lab. He was, however, right in the middle of processing some results and the interruption was a minor annoyance.
"You're not really allowed to be in here," he said, looking up at the stranger. "Don't you have anything better to do than lurk around the science wing?"
