I’m still figuring out exactly how I want to approach writing the Capitol AU, especially with sotr as a major influence. Right now, I’m torn between two main directions. The first option is to stick closely to canon and let her die, preserving the original trajectory of her story. The second option is more speculative: what if Lucy Gray discovers that Lenore Dove exists and decides she wants to meet her?

In my opinion both directions have strong potential, especially in terms of character development and deepening emotional relationships. Letting her die could reinforce the themes of loss, resistance, and sacrifice that are core to both the AU and sotr. On the other hand, having Lucy Gray seek out Lenore Dove could open up a new narrative, allowing for unexpected alliances, conflict, and personal growth on both sides. Maybe, maybe.

Either way, I think both routes could add meaningful depth to the characters and their dynamics. I just need to figure out which one fits the tone and emotional arc I’m aiming for qwq’
