Hilden is an industry leader when it comes to manufacturing bottle filler machines, bottlepacking machines, labeller machine and other machines for Bottling plants for Beverages, Breweries, Distilleries, Pharmaceuticals & other products.
Alcoholic Beverages play an important part of our machinery portfolio. We have supplied machinery for beer, still wine, sparkling wine, whisky and Breezers.
Each of these products has specific bottling and packaging requirements.
Beers are normally filled in round bottles of two sizes and have either a crown cap or rip cap and a single label and packed in corrugated cartons. Similar to beer are sparkling wines and breezers that are also carbonated.
Still products like whisky and wines are filled on gravity or vacuum fillers. All wines and most whiskies have two labels, a front label and a rear smaller label equally spaced from each other.
Let’s talk about beer, beer bottles are normally recycled and have to be cleaned before filling via beer bottle filler machine. Beer bottles from the recycling route are filled in sacks and are fed to the multi soaker bottle washer, manually or by a hydro bottle orienteer.
Since old beer bottles have a label on them, the washer has an additional section for label removal.
Clean bottles are conveyed to the isobaric or counter pressure filler for filling. Beer like most alcoholic products is sensitive and need special attention, like eliminating the presence of oxygen.
This is achieved by pre-evacuation of the bottle by vacuum or flushing the bottle with carbon dioxide gas before filing. The beer pasteurizer forms an important part of the bottling line that enhances product shelf life by killing any residual live yeast and terminates any fermentation that can occur.
Our pasteurizer is energy efficient and provides you with excellent PU control for optimization of pasteurization treatment. The labeller used is a wet glue labeller machine with water soluble adhesive that can be removed in the bottle washer. Secondary packaging is in cartons.
Still products like wines and whiskeys are filled in glass bottles that are new or recycled. New bottles are only rinsed and filled in a gravity or low vacuum filling machine.
Filled bottle are capped with a deep drawn ROPP cap or Gauala cap, in a synchronous operation with the filler. Wet glue rotary labelling and automatic carton packing machines complete the line. A palletizer is an important option if the line speeds are high.
Our machinery is built with high grade resistant and quality materials,
perfectly suitable for the bottling of your liquors. The solutions we offer are easy to clean, service and maintain. We equip you to follow all necessary hygiene requirements.
