“You want me to …” An exasperated sigh followed an eye roll from the demon as he stared at what could only be a shit eating grin on Youssef. Talk about a miracle that he wasn’t practically jumping at the spot as he waited. And waited.

— And waited.

Arms slide across the surface. His forehead resting against wood as he reconsidered his options. Fuck, if he didn’t know any better it was like dealing with a hyperactive kid. One that, based on the request, spent who knows how many hours online looking up ridiculous jokes.

“No way.”

The entire reason he was dressed as he was... normally... was because he simply wanted a drink and maybe be left alone to draw some. He had a few pieces he really just wanted to get finished, and his pencils were busy with just that, a half drained Long Island standing on the coaster. He was quite content to spend his night like that....

But he made the mistake of looking up toward the bar, perhaps to order something greasy to go with his drink...

God he’s a big guy, isn’t he?? The way he sat, nursing his drink, the soft light in his eyes, the intensity of it, Souji found himself staring. Normally the people who patronized the bar were... not really paying attention to unless the were paying for your drinks. But this guy... oh no. He was interesting.

So pages flipped, the soft pangs of hunger forgotten in lieu of new inspiration. A new muse. He didn’t know how much time he would have; even if this was a bar and, as such, much more likely to keep a person in one place than a café, he didn’t know how long the guy had been there. He had a fantastic view. Best not waste it.
