This Bougainvilla....aaaah, this Bougainvilla!!! This is more than 15 year old plant, my most sincere Bonsai!!! It was dying a couple of years ago due to some infestation at the roots, and I had lost hopes. Along with a crazy life and schedule then, I managed to ensure that it is nursed and replanted in this ceramic planter, that is some 7years back... . And since then it has been in this container and every now and then will sincerely flower!!!! Sometimes throws out fresh green leaves and stays beautiful and healthy, and then sheds, and then new growth and then flowers and then sheds...oh my god...the natural process just keeps going on - no clockwork this is, just stays in the PRESENT and gives the best at that point of time. . . The size, or the stature or the dimension has hardly changed for several years now. It has adapted so well to this little container. I have neither de-rooted, nor pruned...i occasionally de-weed, soften the soil a bit and add some compost, that's it!!!! And more LOVE!! . And my SINCERE PLANT just stays there doing its job of brightening up my soul!!!! . . This art of Bonsai, when the plant is mature and small in size is reffered as Mame (pronounced maa-may ), although Mames are supposed to be much more smaller in size (like 5 to 7 cms, yes CENTIMETRES of a mature tree!!! ). However, I am happy with my 15cms tall #Bougainvilla #Mame!!! . This kind of plant presentation, also reffered as a #Kusamono, I am still learning and figuring out... This green ground cover on the base of this plant is a natural growth. That globe and pebble embellishments are few of my old collection, of something re-purposed. . . #Plant #Art is an instinctive gift to me, I don't know how I have learnt this.
