So the dogs quite possibly saved my life today.... We were 4 hours into a projected 12 hour drive to try and get home after 5 weeks on the road. I pulled off the road at a picnic stop outside of Kenora to let the dogs out for a swim and a quick walk. I was greeted by clouds of smoke coming from one of the wheels on my trailer. The wheel bearing assembly had disintegrated and the wheel was quite literally just rolling along, not actually attached to the axel any longer. Another bump or quick turn and the tire would have bounced into oncoming traffic and put me right along with it. Had to wait a bit for a tow, but the driver was awesome and so were the guys at the shop we took it to. Special thanks to the tow from Godbout’s and all of the guys at Shane’s Auto in Kenora.
