Can someone please explain to me why people are harping on the fact that Alissa is an immigrant? He immigrated as a child and graduated from American schools. It has been reported that he isn’t religious. The media has also reported that he has displayed symptoms of untreated schizophrenia for years. On March 22, 10 people tragically lost their lives. Instead of focusing on those victims and mourning the losses, or on how alienating our mental healthcare system is, or how to reduce violent crime, we’re reporting on his immigration status. We’re doing a disservice to the victims and to minority groups, all to support covert racism.
