"Hiii! Aww, thank you! You're too sweet!" Bounce placed a paw on his cheek as it got a bit rosey from the compliment. "It's nice to meet you as well..." Bounce studied the slightly out of frame user photo of the user who messaged him, the bumble gum pink nose taking up a majority of the screen from the downward angle. "Hey you look a bit familiar. I think I've seen some carvings or statues of you somewhere near the ruins..."
Oh!, Hi There Little Guy! (Do You Like To Be Called That?) Your Signal (Message?) Thing Managed To Get Through For Me. Weird, Seeing As Cortex Castle Is On An Entirely Separate Island From The Wumpa Jungle (I Think That's Where You Are.) But I Won't Complain, It's Nice To Finally Be Able To Talk To Someone.

"Don't call me that..." Bounce took a deep breath: "please..." The bilby took a moment to gather himself, almost dropping the phone and catching it with a startled yelp. "Yeah! I'm out in the wumpa jungle...I think? I dunno! I've been out here for quite some time though. Being able to reach out to more island inhabitants is cool!"
Bounce smiled at the camera and pointed it outside of his window. Rolling jungle terrain was shown from his little home on a hilly clearing, a small stream running nearby, undoubtedly fed by one of the island's multiple water falls. "There's a lot of you guys up in Cortex's castle huh? That's not the first time I've heard from someone up there!"
"It's kinda hot today! Wanna come swim with me?" Bounce paddled about in the emerald green water.
Oh wow! Hi! I got your message! Had to hold my phone out the window to get signal though. Hahaha! Nice to meet you!
So, are you a good guy or a bad guy? I hope we can be friends either way!

"Oh my gosh! Hey there!! Yeah signal is a little hit or miss here..."
Bounce spoke into the camera of the phone in his hand, his big pink nose taking up most of the view due to the angle it was held at.
"but it looks like it went through! Nice to meet you too! Um...as for good or bad guy..." He trailed off, seeming to struggle with finding the answer. "I dunno."
Fixing the angle of his recording to be one more from above, Bounce's free arm shrugged.
"I want to think I'm a good guy! I'm sure I have the ability to be a bad guy too though, hehehe." A mischevious grin spread across Bounce's snout before snapping back to his original friendly one. "I hope we can be friends too though! It's cool that you're another bilby! Are you on any of the nearby islands?"

"Hello? Is this thing on?" Bounce paused for a moment, looking down at the dusty and scratched cell phone in his hand. "Oh! It's working!! Hiii...it's been a while since I've seen one of these. Is anyone out there?"
