Were Gale Rise and Bound Hunt's kittens born prematurely in Shadows Reignited or something cuz how else did she NOT die kitting them. Are we just supposed to suspend our disbelief like with the Firesand kits or Leafpool's pregnancy because having the Wild Cats be lynxes is cool or

its no prob! and for context here is my Gale Rise and Bound Hunt comparison:

I'm aware the Wildcats are meant to be, well, Scottish Wildcats. But the books kept emphasizing how huge they were, saying a wildcat kit was about the same size as Ivypool and Icewing (who were mistaken for kits by Hop Scratch) but Scottish Wildcats would realistically be smaller than The Sisters, who are implied to be maine coons. Scottish Wildcats max out at around 16 pounds, while maine coons can be as large as 30 pounds in very extreme cases!

So I decided to make them lynxes for a bit of fun visual interest and to better fit the vision I think the erins were going for. I make them Iberian Lynxes, which are a vulnerable species, though not as endangered as the Scottish Wildcat. They don't live in great britain as far as I'm aware but they are from Europe so... close enough?

And no, in real life Lynxes cannot breed with domestic house cats. BUT!!! this is fun fictional cats world where I can bend the rules of reality for a more fun story. such as these lynxes living somewhere they shouldnt be.

So anyways... I pictured Gale Rise and Bound Hunt's litter being born on time, they're the size of large domestic house kittens. they just grow VERY FAST and Gale Rise soon has to be assisted by a Wildcat queen to nurse them since she isn't able to produce enough milk for all four haha

I picture Wander Blink being the largest, appearing to be basically a full lynx, with Ripple Purr being the smallest, appearing to be almost full domestic house cat. The other two are somewhere in the middle!

I also like pairing up Fog Nuzzle and Flutter Sneeze, with one of Fog's brothers being a donor to Flutter, who carries the kits. She barely notices the pregnancy because the kittens are so small compared to her hahahaha. Maybe one of them is named Skip / Skip Dream, ghost mentored by their adoptive great grandma Dream Flow!
