The Night Dubai did Parisian Chic
I was in Dubai a few days ago for a number of Desert Mannequin related projects and shoots, but by far the highlight of my trip was meeting and dining with the queen of boho chic, Ms. Isabel Marant. She recently inaugurated her Dubai Flagship store in partnership with Boutique 1. The event was an ode to her style, and incredibly humble and lovable personality.
In an intimate dinner setting under a veranda on an incredibly rare rainy night in Dubai, Isabel and I talked about Art, travel, inspirations for future collections, and her desire to one day visit Qatar. I felt so drawn to her warm soul as we laughed until the early hours of the morning. With a cigarette in one hand, a strawberry in another, and a permanent grin, I realized how a person can totally make you love their creations more simply by being approachable and human.
Isabel's Spring/Summer 2015 collection is a continuation of her effortlessly chic and laid back aesthetic. I was able to preview as well as pick up a few pieces which I can't wait to share with you all. (On a sidenote, Boutique 1 has a great selection of pieces from the designer which I highly encourage you all to check out).
I'm going back for more!
