It's Rhododendron Time!

Near the local recreation centre is a rhododendron grove that I love to visit at this time of year, and I recently enjoyed showing some friends the huge bushes. This week the bush beside my patio began to flower and another beside the neighbouring building was just glorious.

Low-Water Level at Bowen Park

I went for a short walk in Bowen Park this morning and noticed that the water level in the Millstone River was very low. At one point, following the sound of trickling water, I went off the main pathway onto what I thought was a trail but it eventually dead-ended, so I turned around. Rhododendrons at Bowen Park

This year’s first rhododendrons are in bloom at Bowen Park, and they are glorious. I went to the park to attend my regular Monday fitness class but found the complex closed for Easter Monday statutory holiday. Fortunately, I had parked near the rhododendron grove and so I enjoyed the lovely blooms instead.
