psychiatrist made me take seroquel for 2 years when i didn't need it and she was too scary for me to be willing to ask to not take it anymore (along with being like. generally mean to me for no reason, told me i only thought i was trans because i hated women, etc). primary care provider then told me to stop taking it cold turkey (you are never supposed to do this barring genuine emergencies because of how bad the withdrawals get)

Never trust a therapist who coerces you to take unnecessary drugs. And never trust a doctor who tells you to quit a med cold turkey without consideration of the effects of doing that.
