This one is VERY well received, and for good reason! BJHM is an adult animated comedy about a washed up Hollywood star, Bojack Horseman. The series touches on alcoholism, addiction as a whole, abuse, grooming, suicide, and is also full of sex scenes and jokes. If you can stomach that, it is a wonderful watch.

Jumalanpelko

Jumalanpelko is a webcomic about cult cats on a farm. It touches on cults, religious trauma, grief, transphobia, and obsession. This webcomic is a tragedy, so don’t read if you want a happy ending.

The Rainbow Purgatory

No, I’m actually NOT biased because TRP is written by my mutual lol. The Rainbow Purgatory is a rewrite of Sparklecare Hospital that touches on themes of grief, trauma, abuse, homophobia, ableism, and suicide/self-harm. It’s got really good characters with reason behind their actions and it takes these topics seriously. I actually made and designed a lot of the characters presented!! Watership Down (The original 1972 novel)

Frith above, I ADORE Watership. It’s my special interest! It touches on the themes of war, dictatorship, religion, and much more. The novel is the best choice as the adaptations leave out a LOT of information that builds the characters.
