भारत से NIKE की मोटी कमाई, फिर भी क्यों उठी बॉयकॉट की आवाज?

भारत में नाइकी एक जाना-पहचाना नाम है. यह एक अमेरिकी ब्रांड है जो जूते, कपड़े और स्पोर्ट्स से जुड़ी चीजें बनाती और बेचती है. नाइकी की शुरुआत 1964 में फिल नाइट और बिल बोमरन ने की थी और अब यह दुनिया के कई देशों में मौजूद है. भारत में भी इसकी अच्छी खासी पकड़ है. आपको जानकर हैरानी होगी कि नाइकी इंडिया ने 31 मार्च 2024 को खत्म हुए फाइनेंशियल ईयर में करीब 1,200 करोड़ रुपये की कमाई की है. कंपनी की ग्रोथ रेट भी ठीक-ठाक रही है यानी पिछले एक साल में करीब 4% की सालाना बढ़ोतरी हुई है.

यह आंकड़े दिखाते हैं कि भारत में लोग नाइकी के जूते और कपड़े कितना पसंद करते हैं. हाल ही में नाइकी ने भारत में पहली बार किसी देसी ब्रांड के साथ मिलकर काम किया. इसने दिल्ली के फैशन ब्रांड नॉरब्लैक नॉरव्हाइट के साथ एक खास कलेक्शन लॉन्च किया, जो भारत की पारंपरिक 'बंधनी' कला से प्रेरित है. इस कलेक्शन में रंग-बिरंगे कपड़े और जूते शामिल हैं. इसे कनाडा में बसे दो भारतीय डिजाइनरों– मृगा कपाड़िया और अमृत कुमार ने डिजाइन किया है. नाइकी ने कहा कि यह कलेक्शन भारतीय कला, संस्कृति और महिलाओं की भागीदारी का जश्न मनाता है.

भारतीय बाजार में मजबूत पकड़ बनाए रखने के बावजूद सोशल मीडिया पर #BoycottNike ट्रेंड कर रहा है. दरअसल, नाइकी के पहले भारतीय कलेक्शन के कैंपेन में एक बांग्लादेशी इन्फ्लुएंसर नेली को दिखाया गया है. यह वही महिला है, जिन्होंने भारत के ‘ऑपरेशन सिंदूर’ के खिलाफ बयान दिए थे और कश्मीर को भारत के 'कब्जे में' बताया था. इस वजह से लोग नाराज हैं और सोशल मीडिया पर नाइकी को बॉयकॉट करने की मांग कर रहे हैं.
