My heart is aching...
I am staving off tears... When did society lose it's compassion? When was it decided that empathy was not a valued quality?
The smear campaign being launched at those who backed the #boycottthehumanzoo movement is despicable...
I don't know why I'm surprised that the voices of many still go unheard but it pains me that based on stereotypes and with the laziest use of privilege these people are allowed to belittle the pain of 22,000 (who signed the petition) and more.
Bailey speaks of his work as reflective rather than regurgitative. He posts on facebook that his work was supposed to open a dialogue and make us reflect on past barbarity while also thinking about current injustices (not a direct quote, summarised and paraphrased). I didn't know we had to put people in cages or chains before we could open a discussion.

Let's really open a dialogue!
