I'm listening to some music at work since I'm already done with my shift. This song comes on by BOYFRIEND, and instead of guessing the name of the group and song like I normally do I immediately thought 'did you just use an onomatopoeia to call me fat?' So I'm listening to BOYFRIEND'S Witch.

You know, then when I finally buy album like this one that I realized how bad I am when it comes to supporting one group I especially like but isn’t popular. Like, I listened to the title song over and over again for the past two years and never bought the album, but I ended up deciding myself. In fact, the true story would be that when I wanted to buy it in the retail store, it wasn’t there so I gave up for a time.

I bought Boyfriend’s Witch at the store close to my place. Yeah, I went there with some of my friends after eating Ramen downtown, and I have difficulty to leave a place where there are kpop albums without buying something. This time Witch was there, so I just grabbed and bought it. It costed me around 24$ (Canadian), but as you know, my store has highest price than most of the stores onlines (profit and all that).

The EP contains a total of seven songs, but there’s an intro among them, so it would be fairer to say that there’s six full-lenght songs. As said before, I adore the title track of this album (Witch). The side tracks aren’t bad, but they probably aren’t the best side tracks I heard. When Witch is catchy and up-beat, the majority of the side-tracks are more ballad-ish. My favorite side track would probably be On & On. For the other songs on the album, I like them depending of the day. There are days when I really don’t want to listen to this album, while others when I’m super-hyped about listening to it.

So the album is in a sturdy box who takes a lot of place. The half of the album is empty, which is a bit annoying. I mean, they could have make it a bit slimer if it was going to be like that. But, no matter how much I complain, the visual of this album is stunning. I mean, I adore it. It’s pretty, it looks good on a shelves, it’s not too hard to open. I had watched unboxing of this album before buying it so I knew what was inside. Those who bought it without verifying might be a little disappointed because there are photocards at the place of a photobook. I don’t mind photocards, but I do dislike it when I’m unable to put them back in their sleves. It might have been obvious, but the ring around them was so thight that I’m unable to put them back in it. I have to leave these photocards wander inside the box, which probably won’t damage them, but is a bit annoying. You also get a photocard of a member. For me, I got KwangMin, one of the twin. The last item you get in this album is a small poster that is, in truth, the lyrics sheet. I don’t buy poster because I don’t like putting stuff up my walls, but I don’t really mind it. I mean, it’s a standard white and black small poster.

So, in the end, was it worth it? I mean, it’s an EP and online it costs about 10$ (USD), so if you like the song, the material is completely worth it. I mean, the album isn’t that bad, it’s a lot better than a few EP I’ve seen. But, if you don’t have a lot of space where to store it, maybe you should just buy the songs online, even if, in all honesty, when the songs online costs half of the price of the material copy (especially when the album is cheap) it’s a bit pricey.
