Dizzee Rascal is bringing his ‘Boy in da Corner’ to the UK for the first time ever.

Grime MC Dizzee Rascal will play his 2003 debut album ‘Boy in da Corner’ in London. The performance will take place on October 21st as part of the Red Bull Music Academy tour. Almost 1,500 people signed a petition calling for Dizzee to perform the full album in London. The London native previously performed the full album in New York earlier in the year. As well as Dizzee’s highly anticipated performance, Blood Orange, Lady Leshurr, Jay Prince and more will appear at the RBMA tour. Dizzee Rascal - "Boy in da Corner" (XL; 2003) on the hi-fi this morning. Hard to overstate how good this album is....its the debut of British grime MC, Dizzee Rascal, released in 2003 when he was only 17. It went on to win the Mercury Prize that year, given out to the best album in the UK and Ireland each year. Metacritic, the site that aggregates reviews from everywhere gives it a 92/100 which puts it as the 18th highest rated album since the site went live in 1999 (and number 1 in the "electronic" category. Personally I came to this album late through my love of UK bass music that I developed around 2008/09 but instill remember being astonished at how fresh and innovative it sounded next to the American hip hop I was used to.
