𝐯𝐢𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 / 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. winters in zaun were just bitterly cold, the kind that took over your entire body and it didn't matter what you did to warm up, it never seemed to go away. but when he had moved to piltover, he got to experience winter in a way like he wasn't used to. the snow, the lights, the warmth was something he would never get over seeing. it was truly beautiful and he loved to watch the snowfall from his window. but winter also came with his own personal struggles, the cold seizing up his leg and making it 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭 to walk, plus patches of ice sometimes made it even more difficult. did he let it stop him? no. he just had to be careful, not go out alone and know his own limitations.
𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐣𝐚𝐲𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥, which considering what happened to him as a child, it made a lot of sense. however, it was unavoidable and as much as jayce didn't like the winter, he didn't show it. he was always happy to help him with the walk to and from the lab, not rushing him and letting him dictate the pace at which they moved at. they were walking back home together, snow falling around them as they moved slowly, talking about their latest developments with hextech, when he lost his balance on a patch of ice under the snow, accidentally pulling jayce down into the snow with him, " apologies, lost my balance, i did not see the ice, " viktor couldn't help but laugh softly, adjusting himself in the snow for a moment before looking over at his partner. as they were laying here in the snow, he remembered seeing some of the kids playing in it earlier, making snow angels and he couldn't help but move his arms and legs in the same way as best he could. he forgot sometimes in their pursuit for progress and achievements that they could still find brief moments for 𝐟𝐮𝐧 in the little things. it was almost childlike in a way that he didn't allow himself to be very often. laughing softly as he looked up at the sky, watching the snow fall for a moment, stopping the movements and he sighed softly before looking over at jayce with a smile pulling at his lips, " can you help me up please, jayce? " he shouldn't lay in the snow for too long, his clothes already starting to feel damp and cold, but getting to feel like a small child having fun in the snow was something that he never got much of a chance to do.
