When do you accept apps?

Hey, hi, hello! Sorry this is so late. I'm personally the only admin around right now and I've had some stuff to deal with outside of RP that took a lot of my time. We accept apps as soon as an admin is on. And I promise, I'll try to be better at being online.

Hello guys, gals, and non-binary pals! We as an admin team have decided to honor a time honored tradition, which is pausing the activity checks until the end of the holidays! We know that this is a busy time with people preparing to go home from uni and finals, and the pandemic is putting additional strain on top of that. No matter how you’re going to be celebrating the holidays, we want you to do so safely, and without worrying that your character is going to be dropped because you got a little busy with the holidays. That being said, our last activity check will be this coming Friday, December 18. We won’t be checking until January 5th. If you plan on being inactive past January 5th, please contact us about a hiatus.

 Admins will still be around on the main, even if we’re a little slow due to the holidays. We will still be accepting new characters! For members who wish to remain active during this time, we encourage you to send us your open starters. 

Stay safe, wear a mask, be good to each other, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

The fact that I’m having to make a second post about anon hate is beyond ridiculous. It makes me very angry that anyone is getting ANY anon hate at all, let alone after Admin A has addressed this, and ESPECIALLY me waking up at 3:45ish EST in the morning on Christmas Eve to see that whomever is getting their kicks sending it has not stopped! IT’S FUCKING CHRISTMASTIME! This is the time of the year for being good to one another, not this hate that’s being sent to our members. It’s not funny, it’s not cute, it’s not a game. Cut it the fuck out! Get a hobby that doesn’t involve sending hateful messages to fictional characters. Perhaps seek therapy and practice self-reflection to evaluate your situation in life. ANYTHING but seeking out members and sending hate. Yes, these are fictional characters, but the people writing them are VERY REAL and deserving of love and respect! 2020 has been hard enough on all of us, and not a single solitary soul in this group wants, needs, or deserves this!

While we don’t believe this hate is being sent by anyone in the group, rest assured that if we are proven wrong on that theory, that member will be banned. We would like to remain a safe space for rp.  We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY when it comes to anon hate. This includes slut shaming, sending hate to any police or first responder characters, racism, disparaging or  remarks about a character’s ability to speak certain languages, and insensitive remarks about a character’s country of origin.  Any members proven to be sending anon hate will be banned from the group as well as the OOC Discord Server. No exceptions!

A few words of advice for our members:

For the next bit, please refrain from tagging open starters with anything other than boystopen.

If you would like, download statcounter or freehost and block by ip address.

Consider blocking the anon using the instructions at the page which link you can find  by clicking anywhere in this sentence.

DO NOT engage with the hate anon. I know it’s tempting to IC or OOC give these greyfaces what for, but that is what they want. Don’t give them the pleasure of knowing they have bothered you.

Consider turning anon asks off for a while (it bothers me that anyone should have to feel the need to do this).

Hello all! Important message!

Hello all!  Admin Kat here, I know I haven't been around much gotta love work and life stress. 

Anyway! The other admins and I want to thank you all for your patience and love. We know the holiday seasons can be rough, busy and crazy, and we are so very thankful for all of you guys who have been nothing but understanding. 

With that being said, main will be a little slow due to the holidays and the three of us being very busy with work. All three of us will be around if you need anything both on here and discord. App acceptance might be a little  slow but we will try to get to them all in a timely matter. We are always looking for new people to join, so tell your friends and have them come join the fun! 

We will also be setting up some fun holiday events so keep an eye out for that!

Heya guys, gals, and non-binary pals! The first seven months of 2020 make it seem like we’ve all be stuck in some kind of parallel dimension where it all just keeps hitting the fan, yeah? 

In light of that, I just want to say that your physical and mental health as well as real life issues come first. If you need, please don’t hesitate to come to us for a semi or full hiatus. If there’s anything that we are when it comes to real life and working through mental and physical health issues, it’s being understanding.  And if you need anyone to talk to about these things, my  personal discord ims are always open (sadly  my personal tumblr im hates me so I can’t say the same about that).  

We’re definitely not going anywhere any time soon, and definitely looking forward to the day we’re at full activity again. However, we want everyone to be able to take a break when they need one. Stay safe. Stay hydrated. Stay that awesome person only you can be.

I feel saddened. Guys, gals, and non-binary pals -- there is something that has happened and it is weighing heavy on my heart and mind. It’s just taken a day or two to find the proper words. But, I’m so passionate about this topic that I have to do it. I know I sound like a broken record, but hear me out. 

There have been people voicing their discontent in the ooc discord server about how, in essence, they do not feel included. Specific grievances being people not plotting with them or replying to their starters. I have also noticed that people are skipping around in the starters. Y’all, this is not cool. Not cool at all. No one should feel so unwelcome and like they don’t belong. It makes me sad to see characters and players being ignored, and that it’s become so rampant that it’s being addressed in the ooc server many times over. In a group set in a place that is all about acceptance, NO ONE should be made to feel unwelcome, and NO ONE should feel ignored. NO ONE should feel like they have to refrain from making starters, posting ask memes, doing honesty hours, or calling for plots because they have had a history of these things being ignored for their characters. 

All characters deserve a chance. NOT just the single characters, the characters with the popular fcs, the younger characters, the characters into certain kinks, or only the characters of the players who write a lot of smut.. Not just characters of long time rp partners or friends. EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER. Roleplay is a hobby, an escape. People should not dread logging on to see that they have nothing to reply to and feeling like no one wants to write with them. 

I know it’s been a crazy year for all of us. That’s why now, more than ever, feeling welcome and included is important. If you see a starter with low note count, I implore you to reply to it instead of skipping it. If you see someone has replied to your starter, I implore you to reply back to them and see where the thread leads. If you see that someone has posted a starter call or plotting call, I implore you to smash that heart or respond to them. We are a roleplay group! Let’s make all our players feel welcome and feel like a community!

Hello from my bed with another 2am thought that may go unseen because it’s 2am, but here goes! 

Recently, we had someone leave without saying anything to anyone in the game. We don’t know the situation aside than one moment they were here, then poof. So it could’ve been anything from Tumblr being an ass and deleting blogs to them not feeling it anymore. I just wanted to say that if you do find yourself wanting a break, we will work with you on a hiatus. Or if you ever want to move on from the rp, please send a message to the main (so we can post an unfollow and ask if you want your fc retired) --and please, please, please at least tell the people you have plots with that you are leaving! Just a little communication goes a long way, and it can be frustrating and confusing to be part of a plot where someone just vanishes without warning.  Please be mindful, even if it’s just to your plot/ship partners.
