so i’ve kinda always had a crush on 1 of my best friends, & now that he’s told me he’s gay, the crush got stronger bc i actually have a chance. irdk if he feels the same tho. sometimes i think he’s giving hints that maybe he does but idk. like the other day it was me,him,&another friend cramped in the backseat. the other friend got out but my guy stayed leaning in close beside me instead of moving into the now empty space. then sometimes he tells me ab other guys that he likes :/ pls can u help?
I don’t think this is the answer you want, but the only way you’re going to know for sure is to ask him. From what you’ve said, it does sound like he could be dropping hints, but it could also be coincidence, or confirmation bias. It’s always tempting to analyze your crush’s behavior, but it’s difficult for anyone who doesn’t personally know him to do that with any kind of accuracy.
It can be scary and awkward to put yourself out on the spot when you’re not sure how the other person feels, but your advantage here is that he’s one of your best friends. Even if he doesn’t return your feelings, he probably isn’t going to be mean to you about it, and you can always still be friends. So my advice here would be to either go ahead and ask, or to put that crush to rest (at least for a while) and focus on something else so you can get a clear head. Then, if you still want to pursue him...ask!!! :) :)
